Last updated 10 September 2026. An agreement between you and Spydaz Holdings LLC ("we", "us") covering the FamPlan app and services.
By using FamPlan you agree to these terms. If you do not, do not use it. You must be at least 18 to create a family and hold the account; children take part through a family an adult has set up and manages.
Whoever creates a family is responsible for it: who is invited, what is recorded, and the accuracy of it. If you add another person's information — including a child's — you confirm you are entitled to do so.
FamPlan records a plan. It does not enforce one. It does not supervise anybody, guarantee that a person will arrive, or verify that anyone actually drove where they said they would. A leg marked as covered means somebody said so in an app.
Do not rely on it for anybody's safety. Notifications can be delayed or fail, a phone can be off, a calendar can be out of date, and a service can be down. Confirm arrangements involving a child's transport or wellbeing directly with the person concerned. FamPlan is a convenience, and the phone call is still the phone call.
FamPlan can find recipes and suggest meals. Some come from TheMealDB, a third-party recipe database, and some are written by an AI. To do this the app sends your search terms — a dish name or a type of food — to those services; the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is and is not sent.
Recipes are suggestions, not advice. A recipe's name, category or tags do not make it safe for any diet, allergy, or religious or medical requirement, and an ingredient list can be wrong or incomplete. Do not rely on FamPlan to tell you a dish is free of an allergen — check every ingredient and its label yourself, and follow normal food-safety practice for cooking and storage. This matters most where an allergy is serious.
Recipe data and images from TheMealDB belong to them and are shown under their terms; where a source or credit is given, it stays with the recipe.
FamPlan can hold homework: typed in, read from a photograph of a class page, or brought in from Google Classroom if you connect a school account.
Connecting a school account is your decision and your responsibility. Connect only an account you are entitled to connect, and only where your school permits it. Many schools allow only the apps they have reviewed, and whether this is one of them is their call rather than ours. A school can withdraw that permission at any time and so can Google, in which case the import simply stops. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Google or any school.
What comes in is read-only, and it is a convenience copy. FamPlan never submits work, never posts, and never changes a grade. Your school's own system stays the record that counts: if a due date here disagrees with the one the school shows, the school is right. Do not rely on FamPlan alone for a deadline.
Any amounts recorded for chores or allowances are a private record between members of your family. FamPlan is not a bank, does not hold or transfer funds, and no money moves through it. A balance shown in the app is a note, not an account, and settling it is entirely between the people involved.
Do not use FamPlan to break the law, to harass or monitor somebody without their knowledge, to store other people's information you have no right to, or to attack, probe or overload the service. We may suspend an account that does.
What you put into FamPlan is yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it for the purpose of running the service for your family, and for nothing else. That permission does not extend to selling it, licensing it, sharing it for advertising, or using it to train machine-learning models on it. We do measure how the app is used in the aggregate, which is counts and patterns rather than content, and the Privacy Policy sets out the difference and how it may grow. Using the words you actually wrote requires the setting described there, which is off unless you switch it on and never available for a child. Selling, licensing or sharing your content for advertising we will never do, and that is a term of this agreement rather than a preference.
Sending a problem report is a separate, one-off decision: you see what is attached before it goes, you can remove the attachment, and we use what you send to fix the problem and improve the app. A report is filed as a ticket in our helpdesk (Zammad) and may be processed with AI to suggest a cause — pressing Send is your agreement to that.
The only companies that touch it are the ones that have to for the app to run, listed in the Privacy Policy. If we are ever acquired or merged, any successor is bound by these terms and the Privacy Policy as they stand, and you would be told before anything changed.
We aim to keep FamPlan running, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a copy of your family’s events, chores and ledger in the readable form described in the Privacy Policy.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, described in the Privacy Policy. No internet service can be guaranteed secure. Please be thoughtful about what you record: a shared family calendar is not the place for medical details, financial account numbers, or anything that would harm you if it were exposed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FamPlan is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost data, or for any loss arising from unauthorised access to our systems. Our total liability for any claim relating to FamPlan is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here removes our obligations to notify you of a data breach where the law requires it. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
If you are using a pre-release build of FamPlan — a TestFlight build, a beta, or any version we have marked as a test — the following applies in addition to everything above, and where it differs it takes precedence for that build.
A beta build is unfinished software given to you for the sole purpose of testing and giving feedback. It is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties or promises of any kind. Taking part is voluntary, and you accept the risks: a beta build may be unstable, may contain errors, may behave unexpectedly, may lose, corrupt or duplicate the data you put into it, and may be changed, reset, wiped or withdrawn at any time without notice. Test data may be deleted between builds. We do not promise that anything you enter during beta testing will carry over to a later build or to the released app.
Do not depend on a beta build for anything that matters, and do not put anything into it that you cannot afford to lose or would not want exposed. Keep your own copy of anything important. A beta build is not a substitute for your own judgement about pickups, drop-offs, chores, money or anyone’s safety — the “what FamPlan is, and is not” section above applies with full force.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability whatsoever arising from your participation in beta testing or your use of a pre-release build, including for lost or corrupted data, missed events, or any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss, and you agree to participate at your own risk. Any feedback you send us about a beta build may be used by us freely and without obligation to you. We may add or remove testers, and start or end a beta programme, at any time. Nothing in this section limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
FamPlan lets you connect an outside AI assistant — such as Claude — so it can create events in your family for you. This is optional, off until you turn it on, and separate from the reader built into the app.
When you connect an assistant, you generate a token that lets it act in FamPlan as you, and only within your own permissions. Anything it creates arrives as a proposal for a parent to confirm — a connected assistant cannot confirm events, be assigned responsibilities, or do anything you could not do yourself. You can disconnect it at any time, which revokes the token and cuts off its access immediately. Keep the token private; treat it like a password, and if it is ever exposed, disconnect and reconnect for a new one.
The assistant is a separate service you choose, not part of FamPlan. The picture, message or text you give it goes to that assistant under its terms and privacy policy, not ours — what FamPlan receives back is the event it creates. We are not responsible for the assistant, what it does with what you send it, or the accuracy of what it creates; you are responsible for reviewing anything it proposes before you rely on it, exactly as with anything else on the calendar. Connect only an assistant you trust with your family's information.
The family's owner never simply leaves it: the owner deletes the family, at any time, and we remove your family's data as described in the Privacy Policy. Anyone else can leave from Settings — menu → Settings → Leave this family — without ending the family for everybody else, and a parent can remove a member from the family in the same way. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms.
We may update these terms; if a change matters we will say so in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use FamPlan means accepting it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
